Your roofline — the fascias, soffits and gutters at the edge of the roof — does an unglamorous but vital job: it carries the bottom row of tiles, ventilates the roof space and moves thousands of litres of rainwater away from your walls every year. When it fails, damp follows.

Common questions
Can you replace gutters without replacing fascias?
Yes, if the fascia boards are sound. If the timber behind is rotten, new gutters will not fix the underlying problem — we will tell you what we find.
Is uPVC better than timber?
uPVC is low-maintenance and long-lasting, which is why most replacements use it. Timber remains appropriate for some period properties. We will advise on yours.
Do blocked gutters really cause roof damage?
Yes — water backing up can get under the lowest tiles and soak the wall head. Overflow stains on brickwork are an early warning worth acting on.
