A leaking roof is stressful, and the tricky part is that water rarely comes in where it shows up. It can enter at a slipped tile, run along a rafter or the underfelt, and appear as a ceiling stain metres away. Chasing the stain instead of the source is why some leaks “come back” after repair.

How quickly can you repair a leaking roof?

Why does my roof only leak in heavy rain?
Wind-driven or heavy rain finds smaller defects that normal rain misses — a hairline crack in flashing or one slightly lifted tile. These leaks still cause rot and damp and are worth fixing promptly.
Will you just seal it with mastic?
No. Sealant has legitimate uses, but smearing mastic over a failed flashing is a short-term bodge. We repair the failed component properly.
Can a leak dry out and be fine?
The stain may dry, but the entry point remains. Every rainfall adds moisture to timbers and insulation, and long-term damp leads to rot and mould. Fix the source.
